About PawLife

PawLife is an independent pet care app for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch, made by a small team that looks after its own animals. It keeps what matters about a dog or a cat in one place: meals and portions, weight, the health diary, medications, vet records, documents and care reminders, with an assistant that has read all of it.
Why it exists
Pet care information tends to scatter. The vaccination card is in a drawer, feeding notes are in a family chat and the vet's discharge summary is a photo somewhere in the camera roll. When a vet asks when the last dose was, or how the weight changed since spring, most owners cannot answer precisely. PawLife exists to make that answer easy, and to help you notice a change early enough to ask the question at all.
What it does
- AI assistant that answers with your pet's profile, history, lab results and documents in context, and reads vet paperwork into records.
- Feeding plan calculated from weight, age, breed and activity, with a daily calorie ring and a food stock count.
- Health diary for weight, stool, urine, symptoms, medications and vet records, with a PDF report for appointments.
- Care reminders for flea, tick and worming treatments, grooming, vaccinations and insurance renewals.
- Family sharing and a browser link for pet sitters.
- Food safety check with 500+ foods rated for dogs and cats, and a label scanner.
How we write this site
- Sources over guesses. The dog and cat food safety tables cite published veterinary toxicology sources, and say when safety depends on preparation or amount.
- Not a vet. Neither the app nor this site diagnoses anything. Where a symptom needs a vet, we say so plainly.
- Interested party. Our blog compares PawLife with other apps. Every comparison says at the top that PawLife is ours, and every figure about another app comes from its public App Store listing.
- Free core. Feeding plans, the health diary, medical records and the food safety database are free. PawLife Pro is an optional subscription.
